| Dear friends, I need to share the news that our brother, Lamar Matthews, died on March 4, 2022. He and Jan joined this congregation in 1991. A service of witness to the resurrection and thanksgiving for Lamar’s life will be held in our sanctuary on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Field Club.  Service will be held at 10 am March 26 at: First Presbyterian Church of Sarasota, FL 2050 Oak Street, Sarasota, FL 34237 With gratitude for the ways, you love one another. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 2050 Oak St, Sarasota, FL 34237, on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 10 am. Memorial donations may be made to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to benefit the A. Lamar Matthews, Jr. Fund. The Memorial Fund will support underrepresented minorities in law.
